About The Position

The Lot Hand reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine which items need to be moved or distributed. The role moves materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas and organizes inventory in a logical, concise sequence. It also assembles customer orders, including truck orders, and helps load them onto vehicles. The Lot Hand compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications, maintains the premises, and stores and cleans work equipment after use.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to perform manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion, including continuous walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to move or distribute.
• Move materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
• Organize inventory in a logical and concise sequence.
• Assemble customer orders, including truck orders, from stock and/or customers.
• Assist with loading customer orders onto vehicles.
• Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Maintain the premises.
• Properly store and clean work equipment after use.
