About The Position

The Simulation Lab Assistant works with the Simulation staff to organize learning experiences in simulated clinical sessions and skills laboratories. The role collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure the learning environment is prepared for students and faculty. This is a part-time, non-exempt position at the RELLIS Campus, with a maximum of 19 hours per week and an hourly wage of $16.00. The target hire date is November 5, 2026.

Requirements

• High school diploma with some college credits.
• Computer soft skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff, and students.
• Ability to be flexible, balance competing priorities, and work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with simulation systems, technology, and laboratory equipment, or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
• One year of health-related experience.
• An associate degree in science, a medical field, nursing, computer technology, paramedic studies, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain inventory of lab supplies and equipment, and monitor supplies and equipment for classes in the Skills Laboratory and Simulated Clinical Sessions.
• Prepare and clean up lab areas and classrooms for lab experiences.
• Prepare beds for simulation lab classes, including handling laundry and stripping beds.
• Assemble equipment for the Clinical Simulation Lab Skills Kit.
• Accommodate department needs with a flexible schedule.
• Organize supplies and equipment to assist student practice sessions.
• Assist the simulation team with maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and simulators as assigned.
• Perform other selected duties as assigned by the Director of Simulation and Clinical Labs.
