Our Silicon Engineering team is seeking a Silicon Characterization Engineer with a great foundation in power management circuits and a real passion for building new technologies. We have an opportunity for a creative Silicon Validation Engineer in our team. As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the rare and rewarding opportunity to craft upcoming products that will delight and encourage millions of Apple’s customers every single day. You will be responsible for the validation and characterization of analog and mixed signal Power Management circuits for battery operated portable devices. With mentorship, you will work within the Silicon Team developing high performance Silicon. As a key member of the silicon validation team you will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver high-quality silicon to customers. As part of this role, you will plan, write and execute tests to establish functional health of our ASICs. You will measure and optimize performance of silicon, enabling consistent and compelling use-cases in our products.

Requirements

• Coursework focusing on analog circuit measurement
• Knowledge of one programming language (Javascript, Python, C++ or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; always enthusiastic to collaborate with diverse teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Student experience in PCB design is a plus
• Coursework focusing on data post processing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and execute tests to establish functional health of our ASICs.
• Measure and optimize performance of silicon, enabling consistent and compelling use-cases in our products.
• Develop automation software, scripts and algorithm for measurement data collection, post processing and analysis.
• Board level circuit design, schematic capture, routing constraints definition, and layout reviews.
• Verify and validate ASICs FW on FPGA emulator.
