About The Position

The Signal Processing team in Raytheon’s Processing, Guidance and Controls Center is seeking a Systems Engineer II – Signal Processing engineer in Tucson, Arizona. The role contributes to missile systems program objectives by applying theoretical to advanced signal processing knowledge. The engineer collaborates on the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of radio frequency (RF) or electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) algorithms and models. These algorithms support sensor data calibration and denoising, detection, acquisition, tracking and classification of objects of interest, and sensor fusion. The position uses and modifies simulations and participates in engineering lab work to test, verify, and validate sensor models and algorithm performance against requirements. It focuses on algorithm integration into hardware and collaboration across development phases, from program start-up through live-fire testing, including design reviews, peer reviews, and technical briefings. The position is onsite in Tucson, Arizona. An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before starting; U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility, and the candidate must be able to obtain an interim Secret clearance and later special program access.

Requirements
