About The Position

Trex is seeking a CDL driver to help meet production and quality goals. The role primarily involves safely and efficiently delivering decking and railing orders to pro-channel and retail customers. Depending on operational needs, duties may also include transferring pellet material from railcars and gaylords or supersacks into silos, shuttling trailers between buildings in Winchester, and supporting fleet-center activities. The position may involve work in multiple areas and requires safe operation of tractors and other equipment, accurate completion of driving documentation, and coordination with operations colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A license with an active DOT physical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and complete all documentation involved in the driving position.
• General knowledge of proper communication etiquette and the importance of initiative, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility.
• Recognize that safety is a priority in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Represent Trex professionally and make customer deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Operate tractors and other equipment as needed while promoting safety for the driver and employees on shift.
• Support shuttle and jockey movements between buildings or sites in Winchester, including movement of wood trailers and vans.
• Transfer pellet material from railcars to silos and from gaylords or supersacks into silos as needed.
• Weigh trailers when required by the activity or trailer type.
• Inspect moved trailers daily for damage to help maintain the fleet.
• Work overtime as required.
• Support fleet-center activities as needed.
• Complete required operational certification and practical demonstration.
• Complete documentation required for driving activities.
• Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with Logistics Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Maintenance, and coworkers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
