About The Position

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for direct store deliveries to customers and transferring products between Johnson Brothers Maverick of Texas locations across the state. The role involves driving products to cross-dock locations, primarily transferring product to and from San Antonio, and may include deliveries to or from cross-docks while en route. The driver works overnight, Sunday through Thursday, with shifts starting at 9 PM, and is home daily.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of tractor/trailer driving experience.
• Have a good driving record.
• Be detail oriented.
• Be self-motivated, able to work independently, and self-managed to meet deadlines.
• Have a current medical card.
• Have good communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment.
• Load and unload pallets at either end of transfer movements, typically in a sequence predetermined by the warehouse.
• Drive products to various cross-dock locations.
• Conduct deliveries to or from cross-docks while en route, as needed.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform other transportation- and warehouse-related duties as assigned based on business needs.
