About The Position

Creighton University is seeking dependable, service-oriented, experienced Shuttle Drivers to support campus transportation. This is a part-time role with available driving schedules for the evening/night shifts, offering 10-30 hours per week. The varied schedules are between 3:00 pm and 2:00 am, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work for CDL holders. This position is an opportunity to serve a vibrant university community while enjoying flexible, part-time work in a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of relevant driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid U.S. driver’s license (2+ years), with clean driving record
• Friendly, dependable professional with a strong desire to help others
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Safe operation of shuttle buses and passenger vehicles
• Knowledge of DoT safety standards and regulations
• Clear written and verbal communication in English
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness and availability to work additional hours, if needed

Nice To Haves

• CDL Drivers highly preferred but not required
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle buses, passenger vans, and other University vehicles on fixed routes, on-demand services, and assigned trips
• Follow all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DoT) regulations
• Complete required DoT logs and documentation each shift
• Perform routine vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and refueling
• Report maintenance issues, route concerns, or passenger-related incidents
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff
