Shuttle Driver - Senior Living
About The Position
The Shuttle Driver provides transportation for community residents and assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that require van transportation. The role includes transporting residents to medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips, as well as operating a shuttle service for employees traveling to and from the Stamford Train Station. During excursions, the driver also acts as an Activity Assistant, remaining with the group except while parking the van. The driver monitors resident activity and alerts staff when assistance is needed to support resident safety, and maintains vehicles in safe working order in accordance with warranty requirements or the internal maintenance plan.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with an F endorsement or higher, such as a Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated interest in older adults and knowledge of serving their needs.
- Demonstrated activities or recreational experience.
- Excellent communication skills.

- High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicles in accordance with warranty requirements and/or the internal maintenance plan to ensure they are safe and in working order.
