Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Shred Plant Operation Supervisor to join our Global Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading secure shred destruction staff and sustaining a culture focused on operational excellence, safety, and security. You will lead a dedicated production team committed to protecting customer information through rigorous adherence to industry standards and our core values.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of supervisory experience specifically within an operations, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing process improvement programs, safety regulations (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and the ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
  • Proven ability to analyze budgets, manage labor variables, and identify barriers to success to maintain throughput and financial targets.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 lbs in a production environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to maintain constructive working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily plant activities—including sorting and production—to meet performance metrics and financial goals while overseeing equipment repairs and site inspections to ensure a safe, compliant environment.
  • Interface daily with transportation and dispatch managers to address service quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring all vehicle loading and material handling meet strict security requirements.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle by assisting with hiring, training staff on safety and National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) standards, and providing timely performance feedback to foster positive employee relations.
