Shower Aide (CNA) Monday to Friday
About The Position
The Villages at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma is hiring a Shower Aide (CNA) to provide personal care to residents, assist the charge nurse, and deliver attentive service in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the facility’s mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet residents’ needs and expectations. The position involves an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with a choice of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The aide supports residents’ safety, comfort, and independence, follows care plans and facility procedures, observes and documents residents’ conditions, and helps maintain clean, functional equipment and a hazard-free environment.
Requirements
- State certification as a nursing assistant.
- Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
- Highly developed observation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to residents in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and is consistent with community policy.
- Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
- Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of the shift.
- Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
- Assist with implementing care plans as directed and within established policies and procedures.
- Observe and report on residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
- Follow established procedures for safely lifting and transferring residents.
- Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
- Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
