About The Position
The Program Aide helps maintain a safe, secure, and respectful living environment for participants in Joyous Ventures’ interim housing programs. Working closely with behavioral health and case management teams, the role supports participants’ daily needs and progress toward stability and self-sufficiency. The position combines residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement.
Requirements
- Food Handler Certification.
- BLS/CPR Certification.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations.
- Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes.
- Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters.
- Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services.
- Maintain a drug-, alcohol-, and violence-free living environment.
- Educate participants about and consistently enforce program policies and procedures.
- Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility.
- Promptly report compliance concerns, behavioral incidents, or safety risks to supervisors.
- Respond to medical emergencies, administer First Aid/CPR, and follow established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation, including incident reports and participant observations.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Support inventory tracking, supply distribution, and basic room inspections.
