Currently we are seeking a candidate to join our team as a Shop Worker. This position consists of maintaining the shop and yard, building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks and maintaining a well-stocked warehouse.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined with ability to build and repair electrical equipment.
- Able to use all power and hand tools safely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 80 lbs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- An ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong team player.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification a plus (written & driving test).
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics as needed.
- Build and repair electrical equipment including but not limited to wire meters, distribution panels, tac-ons, and distribution cages.
- Clean and maintain shop and yard on a daily basis.
- Paint & cut poles, and stack poles with forklift.
- Maintain inventory as needed.
- Adhere to OSHA safety rules and use of equipment – hard hats, etc.
- Adhere to Power Plus safety and quality standards when setting and/or picking up equipment.
