About The Position

Clifford Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified, outgoing individual to work as a Shop Technician at its Tulsa location. The company supplies engine-driven power generation equipment throughout the Midwest and Southern Plains and is dedicated to the power generation industry. The Shop/Generator Technician troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance and start-ups on generator equipment, including automatic transfer switches, at the branch. The position primarily focuses on technician work and also supports inventory and vendor deliveries.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Willingness to train to increase generator knowledge.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Good troubleshooting skills.
Honesty, integrity, and safety awareness.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience with diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches is identified as ideal experience.
Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment and automatic transfer switches.
Troubleshoot engine and electrical issues and perform repairs.
Perform start-ups on generator equipment.
Process required paperwork within deadlines.
Maintain parts inventory for the service truck.
Support inventory and vendor deliveries.
Provide excellent customer service.
