About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a Shop Support employee for its Service Department in Whittier, California. The position assists with the effective operation of the shop and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the tool room. The role works with service personnel and reports to the Service Manager. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize, and stay organized.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
Valid Class B driver’s license.
Ability to understand and adhere to company policies.
Basic technical understanding.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Attention to detail, dependability, verbal communication, documentation skills, inventory control, and job knowledge.
Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times.
Ability to lift a maximum of 75 pounds.
Must pass a post-offer drug test, physical, and background check.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary vocational education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain wash rags and the steam-clean bay used for pressure washes.
Drain oil pan carts into oil waste barrels.
Monitor the tool check-in and check-out procedure.
Manage day-to-day operations of the tool room.
Assist with special shop projects, such as foot printing.
Perform special cleaning projects and other job-related duties as assigned and needed.
Follow company policies and work safely.
