About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group is hiring a Level A Service Technician in Whittier, California. Level A Technicians diagnose truck problems, perform repairs, create repair plans, and submit requisitions for needed parts. They tag replaced warranty parts and turn in parts with core value, communicate daily updates to the Foreman, and maintain organized toolboxes and clean, safe workstations. The role includes training, coaching, and guiding a group of approximately four less-qualified technicians. Level A Technicians are expected to perform at 100% efficiency or better.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Positive attitude and motivation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must pass a post-offer drug screening, physical examination including a lift test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and guide less-experienced technicians, including assuming responsibility for a group of approximately four technicians.
• Diagnose truck problems and perform truck repairs.
• Create repair plans and fill out requisitions for needed parts.
• Tag all replaced warranty parts and turn in parts with core value.
• Communicate daily updates to the Foreman.
• Keep toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe.
• Perform at an efficiency rating of 100% or above.
