About The Position
Law Security & Investigations, Inc. is seeking armed security guards to patrol and secure assigned premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. The position is predominantly a static post focused on access control and site security in Whittier, California. The described assignment runs from 11/23/26 through 12/31/26, Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. or until the client closes. The posting also states that the position is seasonal part-time to full-time and that an end date for the contracts is not set; hired guards will be informed when that information becomes available. The role requires a BSIS Guard Card and a BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit. A valid driver’s license and CPR certification are also listed. The employer prefers at least one year of full-time uniformed security experience, armed-security experience, and a law enforcement, military, or National Guard background. Work is in person at various locations in Southern California.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- At least one year of full-time uniformed security experience preferred.
- Law enforcement, military, or National Guard experience preferred.
- One year of armed security experience preferred.
- Military or law enforcement background preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Keep the site, materials, staff, and patrons safe.
- Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and rule infractions.
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they function properly and are secure.
- Enforce premise rules and regulations.
- Report facility issues, such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes, through the chain of command.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks in an organized, efficient, and effective manner.
- Safeguard highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Safeguard individuals and property from security and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms, fire calls, and panic calls, securing human life and physical property.
- Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Write reports.
- Investigate non-routine incidents and prepare written documentation, including incident reports, pictures, and witness statements.
