About The Position

Shields Point LLC is hiring part-time Armed Guards to support the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Phoenix, Arizona. Armed Guards maintain safety and security protocols and safeguard personnel, property, and assets within designated premises. The position includes 8- or 12-hour shifts on days, nights, and weekends. Guards provide access control, conduct foot patrols, monitor and assess alarms, write reports, and protect government personnel and property. They must respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, communicate professionally with customers, employees, and visitors, and perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

Be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Be able to pass a medical examination, drug screen, and federal background investigation when required.
Meet at least two of the following qualifications, or a reasonable combination: three years of experience in the security industry, military, or law enforcement; an associate degree or completion of 24 college credits; active, retired, or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve; or graduation from a law enforcement basic academy.
When required, successfully complete all training, including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid, and expandable baton.
Fluently speak, read, and comprehend English.
Have good communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
Possess a state guard license.
Possess a state driver's license.
