About The Position

As an Armed Security Guard, you will help ensure the safety and security of Cherokee Nation Entertainment properties, guests, and employees. The position involves patrols, incident response, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while working with local law enforcement and leadership to maintain a secure and welcoming environment. This safety-sensitive position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. A positive drug test, including for marijuana, may result in an offer being rescinded or employment being terminated, even with a valid medical marijuana license.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and six months of experience in security or a related field.
Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license.
Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
State of Oklahoma CLEET armed security guard license required within 180 days of hire or transfer date.

State of Oklahoma CLEET armed security guard license preferred at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Patrol CNE properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, to protect physical assets, guests, and employees, and report safety hazards to leadership.
Prevent guests from entering with prohibited items, address policy and procedure violations, and verify identification for age compliance.
Greet guests, provide directions, and offer assistance when requested or needed.
Respond promptly to accidents and incidents, performing CPR and first aid as needed.
Detect suspicious activity and behavior, notify leadership, and prepare detailed written incident reports in accordance with established policies.
Maintain working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.
Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal activities, and patrol activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures in compliance with legal regulations.
