About The Position

Global Laser Enrichment (GLE) is seeking Armed Security Guards to protect its Wilmington, North Carolina facility and support critical national security operations. The role contributes to safeguarding advanced nuclear technology in a secure setting. Guards conduct armed and unarmed patrols on foot and by vehicle, monitor alarms and surveillance systems, control facility access, enforce rules and security protocols, investigate incidents, prepare reports, maintain security logs, assist employees, visitors, and emergency responders, and recommend improvements to security practices and physical security measures. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining the required clearance.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or eligibility for DOD Top Secret Clearance; continued employment is contingent upon maintaining the clearance.
Completion of or eligibility to pass the NC Armed PPSB certification.
At least 21 years of age.
Experience in military, law enforcement, corrections, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct armed and unarmed foot and vehicle patrols to monitor security and safety.
Monitor alarms and surveillance systems and respond effectively.
Control access, enforce facility rules, and ensure security protocols are followed.
Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate security logs.
Assist employees, visitors, and emergency responders professionally.
Identify and recommend improvements to security practices and physical security measures.
