About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Service Tech to join its Service team. The role diagnoses and repairs aerial, material handling, and construction equipment, as well as air compressors. Shop Service Techs primarily troubleshoot and repair equipment at the local branch, with a focus on aerial equipment and air compressors, to return units to operational and safety standards. The position requires communicating job progress and possible downtime to relevant parties and working safely and efficiently with minimal supervision to reduce equipment downtime. The role is safety-sensitive. Initial hire requires passing a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving-record check.

Requirements

At least 1 year of mechanical training or education and/or experience in a related field.
Possess or be able to obtain a complete line of tools.
Above-average communication skills.
Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications.
Ability to read schematics or be trained to read them.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of operating various equipment.
Ability to accomplish duties accurately and on time.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
