About The Position
The Shop Tech manages the accurate flow of rental equipment in and out of the warehouse. The role supports high operational efficiency by pulling, scanning, and staging outbound orders and checking in, inspecting, and restocking returned gear. The Shop Tech maintains accurate tracking records, supports safe warehouse loading, and helps ensure inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily outbound order lists in Rental Tracker and prioritize upcoming shipments.
- Verify gear counts against order specifications.
- Scan gear into Rental Tracker and maintain real-time tracking data.
- Label bins with the corresponding order numbers and job names.
- Load delivery trucks safely and efficiently to prevent equipment damage.
- Monitor daily inbound order lists in Rental Tracker to prepare for returns.
- Hand-count non-barcoded items to verify return quantities.
- Scan returned gear into Rental Tracker.
- Inspect returned gear to confirm it is working before authorizing it for storage.
- Restock equipment in its designated warehouse locations.
- Immediately report missing or unreturned gear to the Rental Agent for tracking and billing.
- Obtain signatures on checkout Contract Sheets and check-in Checkin Sheets.
- Scan completed paperwork into RTPro for digital record-keeping.
- Assist with physical inventory audits and routine cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace.
