About The Position

With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician C performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. The role requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repairs. Technicians work on a single fleet of advanced equipment, supporting drivers and servicing vehicles used on routes. The position offers training in new technologies and equipment, a regular shift in a stable industry, recognition for performance, and career growth opportunities. The pay range is $25.15 to $34.60, with the actual range depending on the locality of hire. Eligible employees may elect to participate in the benefits listed in the posting.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification T8 PM.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Maintain basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and some repairs.
Perform vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments, oil changes, and fluid replenishment.
Perform adjustments and light repairs, including tire changes, and basic electrical work such as changing lights.
Conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools.
Complete applicable company training programs.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
