About The Position

Shop Service Techs function as part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment at the local branch to ensure operational and safety standards are met. The technician will communicate effectively with salespeople, coordinators, managers, and customers regarding downtime and job progress. They are expected to operate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, aiming to decrease equipment downtime while maintaining safe working standards.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field
Possessing or ability to obtain complete line of tools
Above average communication skills
Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Having general knowledge of operating various equipment
Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards.
