About The Position

Hugg and Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with advanced mechanical knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team as a Service Tech in the shop.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Shop Service Techs are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment at the local branch shop
In this role, you will:
Perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and overhauls in the company's service shop
Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress updates
Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision
Adhere to safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

• At least 1-year of hands-on mechanical experience or training/education in a related field
• Must have or be able to obtain complete line of tools
• Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
• Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Technical college/trade school diploma or certification a big plus
