About The Position

Shop Service Techs are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment at the local branch shop In this role, you will: Perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and overhauls in the company's service shop Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress updates Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision Adhere to safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

  • At least 1-year of hands-on mechanical experience or training/education in a related field
  • Must have or be able to obtain complete line of tools
  • Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
  • requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
  • must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical college/trade school diploma or certification a big plus
