About The Position
The Shop Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and electrical equipment such as ignition, governor, lubrication and engine control systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability read, interpret, and apply communications in written, verbal, and diagram form.
- Ability to perform work in a safe, effective, and high-quality manner.
- Ability interact and communicate with customers and other employees in a professional, effective manner.
- Adaptive to changing instructions or work conditions.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
Responsibilities
- Test and troubleshoot ignition, lubrication, governors and other devices used in the natural gas industry.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software to troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Understand basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, and repair/operating instructions.
- Keep work area clean and orderly
