About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its team. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided on managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. Managers may earn up to $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. The role may involve working up to 55 hours per week on occasion and early hours.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

• Prior management or leadership experience is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with oil changes and other automotive services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other automotive services as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
