About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided in managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. The role offers opportunities to advance, and managers are expected to be accountable for their team's execution of Take 5 standards within 60 days. Experienced managers may earn $55,000 or more through base salary and bonus opportunities. The position also includes access to myFlexPay, which allows employees to access up to 50% of earned wages at any time.

Requirements

• Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
• Understand shop financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services.
