About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop team and deliver the company’s oil-change and light-maintenance services. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided. Training covers shop management, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of Take 5 standards. The role offers base salary and bonus opportunities, with experienced managers able to earn $55,000 or more per year. Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.

- Experience managing a shop or leading in another business; experience is valued but not required.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventories.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
- Understand shop financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services.
