About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training covers Take 5’s shop management standards, oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of those standards. The position may suit experienced leaders from oil-change shops, restaurants, retail, and other businesses, as well as candidates interested in joining as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training. Experienced Shop Managers can earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. The role involves managing staff and shop operations, supporting the crew with vehicle services, and delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Basic computer operating skills.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
- Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
