About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; candidates without experience may be considered for Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training opportunities. Paid training covers Take 5’s shop-management approach, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, managers are accountable for their team’s execution of Take 5 service standards. The role includes leadership, shop operations, customer service, and hands-on automotive service work.

Requirements

Experience is valued but not required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
Must have basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
Understand shop financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service.
