About The Position

Kept Companies is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shop Manager to support the safety, compliance, and readiness of its shop and fleet. Working primarily in the shop, this role inspects vehicles arriving at the shop and those already on-site, identifies safety and maintenance concerns, verifies vehicle readiness and equipment, and helps keep fleet operations organized. The Shop Manager maintains inspection records, reports issues that need follow-up, communicates findings to relevant team members, and supports a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. The schedule is 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with availability needed to inspect vehicles as they arrive and verify those already on-site.

• Ability to follow inspection checklists and established procedures.
• Dependability and punctuality, and comfort working an early-morning schedule.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, safety, compliance, or shop operations is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is preferred; additional requirements may depend on job duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles as they arrive at the shop and check vehicles already on-site.
• Verify that vehicles are safe, properly equipped, and ready for daily operations.
• Identify and report vehicle damage, maintenance needs, safety concerns, or compliance issues.
• Confirm required equipment and supplies are present and properly secured.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and report issues requiring follow-up.
• Keep the shop, fleet area, and equipment organized and in proper order.
• Communicate inspection findings and outstanding issues to appropriate team members.
• Support a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
