About The Position

RoXteel, part of All Things Metal Industries, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Laborer to support shop operations and ensure fabricated steel is finished and prepared for delivery. The role includes steel touch-up and finishing, shipment preparation, and general shop support. It offers steady, long-term work in a supportive environment, with opportunities to learn and grow in the steel industry. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with occasional Saturdays to meet deadlines. Compensation starts at $18 per hour.

Requirements

Pass a background check and drug screen.
Have reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
Be able to work in the heat and stand for most of the shift.
Be capable of regularly lifting 50 pounds or more.
Accurately read a tape measure; this is a non-negotiable skill.
Be comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Have professional working proficiency in English.
Demonstrate attention to detail and pride in quality work.
Be dependable and hardworking, with a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.
Show strong safety awareness.
Work the stated schedule, including occasional Saturdays to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Basic print-reading experience.

Responsibilities

Perform touch-up and finishing work on completed steel products.
Prepare and clean materials for shipment to customers.
Operate power tools, including drills, impacts, and grinders, safely and efficiently.
Read a tape measure to 1/16 inch for marking, cutting, and drilling steel.
Move, lift, and organize steel, tools, and scrap throughout the yard.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with loading and unloading materials.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Follow RoXteel safety guidelines and shop standards.
