About The Position

This is a hands-on job that moves around the shop. You will work alongside experienced people in different departments, and no two days look exactly the same. If you want to learn how metal fabrication actually works, this is a good place to start, because you will see most of it. The sheet metal shop makes the enclosures, brackets, frames, and panels for everything HindlePower builds. What you make here ends up inside a finished product going out our own door.

Requirements

  • Dependable and on time
  • Willing to learn and to move between departments as the work shifts
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work well with people
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • On your feet for most of the shift, standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Work around shop equipment and material handling in a manufacturing environment
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe footwear are required on the floor

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing or shop experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help out across the shop wherever the work is
  • Assist with press brakes, shears, and other shop equipment, and learn to run them over time
  • Grind, deburr, and finish metal parts
  • Help in the paint department with prep and hanging parts
  • Load, unload, and move material through the shop
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow our safety procedures, and speak up when something does not look right
