About The Position

The Shop Foreman works closely with management to evaluate technician performance and develop customized training paths for each technician. The role monitors technician performance and manages shop jobs to ensure a maximum return. The Shop Foreman communicates job status accurately and effectively to the Used Truck Director. Daily actions should support a firm, fair, and fun working environment for all employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of detail shop experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, motivating, and counseling detail technicians.
• Ensure detail technicians work safely, maintain a professional appearance, and comply with company policies.
• Complete monthly performance reviews with each detail technician.
• Dispatch work to detail technicians and ensure all steps of the detail process are followed.
• Ensure the quality of all work performed.
• Review the accuracy of paperwork.
• Foster teamwork within and outside the department.
• Communicate the status of all jobs to the Used Truck Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
