Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operation procedures (SOP) and work instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize standard hand tools
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Displays good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Possesses good organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents, and fractions to decimal equivalents
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize standard hand tools
  • Successful experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance on CNC machines, manual machines, shears, air compressors, forklifts, and hydraulic presses.
  • Maintains overall cleanliness of shops.
  • Manages inventory and ordering of raw materials and sheet metal.
  • Verifies and maintains oil and coolant levels on all machines.
  • Cleans automated and manual machines.
  • Organizes and assembles consumables.
  • Maintains inventory and supply cabinets.
  • Dresses and maintains grinders.
  • Pre-cuts materials in accordance with designs.
