About The Position

The ComTran Group is a full-service provider of infrastructure construction services to the energy and communication industry with committed values to safety, quality, and customer service. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated Shop Assistant to support daily operations in a busy mechanic shop. This position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting mechanics with general shop tasks.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined or comfortable working around vehicles and equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the mechanic shop, bays, and work areas
• Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shop
• Wash and detail vehicles, equipment, and parts
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Assist mechanics with general shop support duties
• Operate a forklift as needed (training available)
• Follow safety procedures and maintain shop cleanliness and organization
