About The Position

The ideal candidate will perform shipyard industrial electrical projects along with shipyard production electrical projects. This role involves performing installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for production and facility projects. The position requires taking appropriate corrective and proactive measures to maintain equipment availability and provide reliable service of electrical systems to meet shipyard availability targets. The candidate must follow environmental and safety regulations and act in compliance with US laws. Responsibilities include preparing and/or studying technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and facility maps to ensure installation and operations conform to NEC and OSHA standards and shipyard requirements. Collaboration with supervisory representatives to discuss existing or potential electrical projects is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • College associate degree or technical training and three to five years of electrical experience required; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with providing electrical maintenance and repair to marine vessels and/or industrial high voltage electrical experience.
  • Shipyard or military experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
