About The Position
The Shipping Yard Jockey is responsible for moving trailers in and out of the dock, setting trailer temperatures, monitoring fuel levels, and performing daily trailer inventory. This role requires experience backing trailers and may involve working in various temperatures and assisting throughout the shipping process. Requirements
- Experience backing trailers
- Must be able to work in different temperatures including hot, cold, and precipitation
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Pallet jack driver/Forklift certification preferred
- CDL experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Move trailers in/out of dock
- Set trailer temperatures
- Monitor fuel level and fill as needed
- Perform daily trailer inventory
- Assist as needed throughout the shipping process
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.
