About The Position

Corrugated Supplies Company (CSC) is seeking dedicated, talented, and hardworking individuals to join our team as entry-level Shipping Technicians. This role is designed for individuals to train through operations skills to attain highly skilled operations technician “Tech A” status. The Shipping Technician will be responsible for running highly technical processes and equipment, supporting the 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm), with the requirement to train on the 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm). Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Continued education certificate or post-secondary degree and personal development
  • Forklift experience required
  • Clamp truck experience required
  • Proficient in the English language with the ability to understand and communicate in English for safety reasons.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry or manufacturing floor experience
  • Related Military training/experience
  • Ability to read/interpret schematics
  • Basic computer operations skills
  • Experience and compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and organized

Responsibilities

  • Work safely always, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) such as safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes, and gloves. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect trailers prior to loading to ensure they are free of debris.
  • Load or assist in loading product into a trailer according to shipping instructions.
  • Scan product back into inventory following shipping instructions.
  • Unload or assist in unloading finished product in or from a trailer following shipping instructions.
  • Inspect the load in the trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and is the correct load before departure.
  • Verify counts while trucks are being unloaded, as permitted by customers.
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report any maintenance issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment, performing housekeeping tasks such as wiping surfaces, sweeping, hosing down areas, and removing trash, debris, and clutter.
  • Ensure product Quality, Cost, and Production goals are met.
  • Participate in assigned training sessions.
  • Exercise common courtesy and common sense to build positive team relationships through mutual respect, conflict resolution, mutual assistance, and encouragement.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, Cost Production, and Teamwork.
  • Respond to emergency issues, including troubleshooting and clean-up, to minimize safety hazards, loss of quality, production, and downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant operations and facility management.
  • Share knowledge and gain knowledge from team members.
