About The Position

Corrugated Supplies Company (CSC) is seeking dedicated, talented, and hardworking individuals to join their team as Entry-level Shipping Technicians. This role is designed for individuals to train and develop through operations skills to achieve the highly skilled "Tech A" status, responsible for operating technical processes and equipment. The position supports the 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm) and requires the ability to train on the 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm). CSC is America’s largest independent sheet feeder, manufacturing and distributing corrugated sheets, and has been providing innovation to point of purchase display and box makers for over 60 years. With 9 locations across the United States, CSC operates advanced corrugators and plans for expansion, creating meaningful employment opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Forklift experience required
  • Clamp truck experience required
  • Proficient in the English language and ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods and maintain balance on narrow walkways
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks
  • Ability to reach vertically and horizontally with hands and arms
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Possess required visual abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Possess OSHA required auditory abilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective and efficient movement of product from one location to another.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Supplying customers with exceptional quality, customer service, and on-time delivery.
  • Working safely at all times and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
  • Complying with all safety policies and procedures and maintaining high standards for personal and team safety.
  • Inspecting trailers prior to loading to ensure they are free and clear of debris.
  • Loading or assisting in loading product into a trailer following shipping instructions.
  • Scanning product back into inventory following shipping instructions.
  • Unloading or assisting in unloading finished product in or from a trailer following shipping instructions.
  • Inspecting the load in the trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and is the correct load before leaving.
  • Verifying count while a truck is being unloaded, as allowed by customers.
  • Performing daily truck inspections and reporting any maintenance items to management immediately.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas and equipment.
  • Performing housekeeping duties such as wiping down surfaces, sweeping, hosing down, and removing trash, debris, and clutter.
  • Ensuring product Quality, Cost, and Production goals are met.
  • Participating in assigned training.
  • Exercising common courtesy and common sense to build shift and CSC team relationships through mutual respect, conflict resolution, mutual assistance, and encouragement.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement with respect to Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, Cost Production, and Team.
  • Responding to emergency issues including troubleshooting and clean-up to minimize safety hazards, loss of quality, production, and downtime.
  • Communicating effectively with all levels of plant operations and facility management.
  • Sharing knowledge and gaining knowledge from the rest of the team.
