About The Position

The Shipping Supervisor provides strategic operational oversight for production operating facilities, with a moderate presence across multiple regions or a moderate degree of complexity. The role holds facilities accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. It is part of Cargill’s Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of directly related work experience.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations of the assigned area and ensure direct reports follow policies and procedures for employee, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are met.
• Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines.
• Administer a department, process, or shift production budget; execute purchase orders and ensure timely invoice payment.
• Develop operational plans and monitor routine production operations across multiple departments, processes, and shifts.
• Develop, supervise, and coach direct reports, including reinforcing company core values and guiding principles.
• Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
• Complete the same tasks as employees on the team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
