About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing materials. Key duties include performing system transactions, verifying shipping documentation, and ensuring timely flow of goods. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to investigate a variety of administrative problems and make recommendations as to their solutions and to prepare working procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and appraise and organize facts and evidence and present material clearly and logically in oral or written form.
  • Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use computer hardware, various software programs and technologies, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
  • Required to comply with all policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations preferred.
  • Ability to travel in/out of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Process from receiving to finalize inbound entries in AS400 system.
  • Track all inbound shipments, urgent material, and support cross-dock operations.
  • Verify part numbers, purchase orders (POs), and quantities against packing lists, invoices, and other documents.
  • Collaborate with the revision team and quick entry personnel to gather and provide additional information such as part numbers, POs, photos, or damage material as requested by customers.
  • Support with FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) operations, such as admissions, withdrawals, and IT cancellations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth flow and timely issue resolution.
  • Utilize standard office equipment including computer, printer, scanner & phone.
  • Create and send OS&D Report to customers if applicable.
  • Accuracy verification of shipments and related documentation.
  • Assist in other areas related to the activity of S&R such as Quick Entry.
  • Open reference in Quick Entry, Complete input of general information (description, shipper, part numbers, trailer number, bill of lading, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with company and customs policies.
  • Demonstrate urgency, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills.
