About The Position

Pan-Oston Company is an industry leader in providing metal and wood fixtures to some of retail's largest members and is a Houchens Industries Employee-Owned Company. We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk. This role involves preparing and maintaining records of all shipping documentation, coordinating with various departments to fulfill inventory, receiving, picking, and shipping needs, and communicating with departments, carriers, and customers. The position also requires maintaining accurate inventory counts and operating equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts.

Requirements

Mathematical skills to accurately record counts
Communication skills
Ability to pass and maintain a forklift license to load and unload material
Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are 40 pounds or heavier
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Full body motion is required

Responsibilities

Prepares and keeps records of all shipping documentation, including but not limited to bill of lading reports, shipping labels, packing documentation, routing options, traffic class, and entry into ERP system
Coordinates with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory, receiving, picking and shipping needs
Communicates between departments, with carriers, and customers (as needed)
Organizes the paperwork and priorities from sales, service, and manufacturing departments
Coordinates deliveries
Communicates with carriers, brokers, and the customer directly, as needed
Maintains accurate inventory counts
Operate forklift and scissor lifts
Performs other duties as assigned
