Shipping & Receiving Coordinator (2nd Shift)
About The Position
As a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, you will represent Envision Cold to drivers, customers, and staff. In a fast-paced environment, you will help maintain accurate inventory levels, ensure timely deliveries, address shipping and receiving issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Attention to detail, exceptional customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are critical to success. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 PM. Due to business demands and peak seasons, overtime may be required before or after the normally scheduled shift, as well as on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Shipping and receiving experience required.
- Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Good attendance record and work ethic.
- Ability to prioritize needs and reassess business demands.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced, constantly changing operation while staying on task and multitasking as needed.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with WMS, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Responsibilities
- Verify shipping and receiving information; prepare documents; and process freight bills, packing sheets, and other necessary paperwork.
- Ensure outgoing orders are accurately prepared for shipping, including packing, labeling, and meeting specific requirements.
- Provide customers with tracking information, shipping updates, and information about delivery issues.
- Sign drivers in and out.
- Direct arriving carriers to dock doors and update the system to ensure accuracy during unloading and loading of goods and materials.
- Record received items in the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory system.
- Communicate with carriers to improve the efficiency of product shipping and delivery.
- Provide management with regular reports about inventory, shipments, and receiving processes, highlighting issues that need resolution.
- Organize and prioritize workload while working with tight deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
