About The Position

The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for shipping and receiving product at the Retail Store. This position has no direct supervisory authority and reports to the Store Manager. In addition to the listed essential functions and responsibilities, the role may require helping with load outs, breaking down freight, and bringing shopping carts in.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate merchandise-handling equipment.
• Ability to cross-check merchandise quantities against packing slips and make corrections as necessary.
• Ability to allocate merchandise accurately.
• Ability to load and prepare merchandise for shipment.
• Hourly pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise into the warehouse area.
• Cross-check quantities against packing slips and make corrections as necessary.
• Operate merchandise-handling equipment safely.
• Allocate merchandise accurately to the splitting area or department.
• Load merchandise onto the proper truck for shipment and shrink-wrap it when necessary.
• Perform general equipment maintenance.
• Practice workplace safety by using safe work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Help with load outs, break down freight, and bring shopping carts in as needed.
