About The Position

As a Shipping Manager at Heritage Auctions, you will oversee the entire shipping process to ensure the safe and timely delivery of valuable items. The role requires attention to detail, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Heritage Auctions is a collaborative, fast-paced company with offices in the United States and around the world. The position is located south of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, at the northwest corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane. Compensation is based on experience.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in shipping software and inventory management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move heavy items as needed.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of shipping, including packing, labeling, documentation, and shipment tracking.
• Supervise and train shipping coordinators and staff, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with company policies.
• Implement and maintain quality-control procedures for safe handling and packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain accurate records and properly store items awaiting shipment.
• Address and resolve shipping-related client inquiries and issues, providing service and support.
• Ensure shipping activities comply with local, national, and international regulations and company policies.
• Evaluate and improve shipping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present regular reports on shipping activities, performance metrics, and inventory status to senior management.
