About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification
  • Ability to safely operate all warehouse equipment and perform all warehouse functions, i.e., unloading, putaway, and loading of trucks
  • One or more years of supervisory experience in a plant setting
  • Three or more years in warehouse process
  • Understanding of inventory management functions
  • WMS and/or Barcode Scanner experience
  • Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example
  • Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate
  • Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with the ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
  • Knowledge of product protection requirements and packing procedures
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a team of employees to achieve business results and warehouse targets in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating warehouse activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments.
  • Supporting warehouse personnel by maintaining a visible presence on the warehouse floor and fostering an engaged, team-oriented workforce.
  • Ensuring plant Safety, GMP, and SQF programs are followed.
  • Creating an environment that expresses concern and consistency toward all team members, promoting cooperation and dedication to superior workmanship.
  • Providing training for team members on company policies, rules, regulations, and job-specific duties.
  • Monitoring and enforcing adherence to GMPs and specifications, maintaining high levels of sanitation, housekeeping, and product quality.
  • Following daily work schedules and reporting variances, encouraging best use of energy and resources with minimal waste.
  • Regularly reviewing company policies and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring the warehouse and work areas are properly maintained for a clean and safe working environment and that all plant safety policies are followed.
  • Reporting any incidents or safety issues immediately and participating in determining root causes.
  • Staying up-to-date on company safety policies, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Notifying maintenance of equipment maintenance issues.
  • Serving as a lead over an assigned warehouse function, training and providing work direction and guidance to team members, and prioritizing work assignments.
  • Overseeing and participating in shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing of supplies, materials, and products.
  • Overseeing and participating in the receiving, unloading, and inspection of shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips.
  • Contacting Supervisors regarding shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies and completing receiving, discrepancy, and follow-up reports.
  • Overseeing and participating in the stocking of products, planning storage locations, and determining proper location of supplies for maximum space utilization.
  • Delivering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Overseeing and participating in annual physical inventories.
  • Operating a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
  • Operating a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports.
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations.
  • Making recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory, and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensuring all E21 procedures are followed according to official standard operating procedures (SOPs), including scanning work order barcodes, creating/destroying license plates, moving product, picking license plates, confirming license plates to trucks for shipment, and reconciling staging locations daily.
  • Serving as the E21 liaison between the floor and IT Software Support, reporting procedure deviations, becoming a subject matter expert for E21 procedures, and troubleshooting issues before escalating to IT Software Support.
