About The Position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for real-time analysis and assisting in the coordination and balance of DC Shipping operations. This role supports the Shipping Supervisor by balancing manpower, assigning picking/loading tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow for the production crew. The Lead accurately records and reports truck/trailer numbers for outgoing deliveries and supports the completion of End of Day tasks. The position operates under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Supervisor, with work performed within standard policies and procedures, allowing for some unreviewed decision-making. This role does not have direct financial or supervisory responsibilities but provides information and support to production staff.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
• Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data.
• Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations (allocation of pick tasks).
• Assigning of picking/loading tasks.
• Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries.
• Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides administrative support for the Shipping Supervisor.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems.
• Performs additional duties as requested.
• Support Picking and Loading operation as needed.
