About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The position must be able to obtain a forklift license and be able to change batteries as needed (training will be available). Must also be able to maneuver a pallet jack around tables and belts, be able to continuously grip the control handle of the jack, and the driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members). This position will be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing, turning, pulling, twisting, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

Requirements

• Must have 3 months of work history with one employer listed on the application.
• Must be able to obtain forklift license.
• Must be able to change battery as needed.
• Must be able to maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts.
• Must be able to continuously grip control handle of the jack.
• Driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members).
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 3 months of forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Operating a jack and forklift
• Moving product to necessary location
• Loading and unloading blast cell and freezer racks
• Assist in all areas as needed/assigned
• Loading and unloading skids
• Completing various log sheets
• Maintaining (upkeep) of equipment while in possession
• Completing Tyson paperwork
• Reading invoices, packing slips, records of materials, etc.
